Tech refresh of the Cash Market Order Entry Access Layer Switches (B-Side) in the Equinix FR2 Co-Location (Colo 2.0) facility

1.    Introduction

As part of its ongoing infrastructure refresh, Deutsche Börse will replace the Cash Order Entry Access Layer Switches (B-Side) in the Equinix FR2 co-location (Colo 2.0) facility affecting all 10 Gbit/s connections. The replacement of the switches is planned to be carried out on 15 February 2025 and during the replacement the ports will be down.

To ensure a smooth transition to the new switches and reduce the amount of impact on participants to an absolute minimum, the names of the switches (RFRA3431 and RFRA3432) and the current assignment of the ports to participant installations will remain unchanged.

 2.    Required action

After the replacement, participants are strongly recommended to verify their connectivity to the new switches (e.g.) by confirming the receipt of technical heartbeats in Xetra T7 production or market data updates in Xetra T7 simulation environment.

Deutsche Börse will provide a support window on Saturday 15 February 2025 between 12:00 and 14:00 CET. In the event of any unforeseen issues, participants will be able to contact their Technical Key Account Manager via their VIP number or cts@deutsche-boerse.com during the support window.
