Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse AG nominates Clara-Christina Streit as new Chairwoman

Martin Jetter to resign after the Annual General Meeting 2025, as announced

The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse AG today nominated its current member, Clara-Christina Streit (55), as the successor to outgoing Chairman, Martin Jetter (65). A specially appointed ‘Chairman Selection Committee’ headed by Supervisory Board member Charles Stonehill had previously made this recommendation.

Clara-Christina Streit is to be elected at an extraordinary Supervisory Board meeting to be convened immediately after the next Annual General Meeting in May 2025 and as previously announced, Martin Jetter will leave the Board at the end of this Annual General Meeting.

Martin Jetter said: “I am very pleased that the Supervisory Board has decided on a suitable successor so quickly. Clara-Christina Streit is an expert in corporate governance, has international experience and has known Deutsche Börse for a long time. The company has developed excellently in recent years and is strategically well positioned to continue this path.”

Clara-Christina Streit has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse AG since 2019. She is also Chairwoman of the Government Commission German Corporate Governance Code and Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Vonovia SE. Her current mandate as a member of the Board of Directors of the listed Portuguese company Jerónimo Martins SGPS S.A. expires before the Annual General Meeting of Deutsche Börse AG, and she will not stand for re-election.
