New thematic ETF from WisdomTree on Xetra: climate-friendly waste and recycling management

A new exchange-traded fund issued by WisdomTree is tradable on Xetra and via Börse Frankfurt since Thursday.

With the WisdomTree Recycling Decarbonisation UCITS ETF - USD Acc, investors can invest in companies that are active in the field of recycling and waste management. The selected companies must generate at least 20 per cent of their turnover from technologies used in recycling and waste management or make investments in this area of at least the same amount.

The focus is on energy generation from waste such as rubbish or agricultural products and thus on the production of renewable natural gas, diesel or ethanol. Also considered is the recycling of plastic waste and lithium-ion batteries, as well as carbon sequestration.

Companies that do not meet the Global Standards Screening (GSS) or are involved in controversial activities in the fields of weapons, tobacco or thermal coal are not considered.
