New on Xetra: first crypto ETP from iShares with access to Bitcoin

Since Tuesday, the first crypto exchange-traded note from iShares has been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt.

The iShares Bitcoin ETP tracks the performance of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency with a current market capitalisation of $1.7 trillion. It is a debt security that is 100 per cent physically backed by the cryptocurrency.

The product is listed on the regulated market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and is cleared through Eurex Clearing. Central clearing allows investors to benefit significantly reduced risk in the settlement of their transactions.

Investors can trade the product via Xetra, similar to equities or ETFs. Trading currency is the euro.
