New on Xetra: Multi-Asset ETFs from Amundi with increasing exposure to bonds over time, taking ESG criteria into account

Since Tuesday, four new exchange-traded funds issued by Amundi Asset Management have been tradable via Xetra and Börse Frankfurt.

The Amundi Lifecycle UCITS ETF series tracks the FTSE Lifecycle ESG Screened Select index family. Its aim is to track the performance of a diversified multi-asset securities universe. It adjusts the weighting of each asset class over time based on a glide path by reducing equity exposure and increasing exposure to fixed income up to the target date. Investors can choose between 2030, 2033, 2036 and 2039 for the target date.

The investment universe consists of the global equities of the FTSE Developed ESG Screened Select Index as well as the following euro-denominated bond indices of the FTSE index family, which track both government and corporate bonds: FTSE Euro Broad Investment-Grade ESG Screened Select Corporate Index, the FTSE EMU Government Bond Select Index, the FTSE EMU Green Government Bond Select Index and the FTSE EMU Government Bond 0-1 Years Select Index.

In addition, the indices take ESG criteria into account to reduce exposure to companies whose products have a negative social or environmental impact. They also apply a best-in-class approach to focus on the companies with the best ESG rating within an industry sector. The individual funds also invest in green bonds issued by EMU member states. This serves to promote sustainable projects, especially in the areas of water infrastructure, waste management and renewable energy.

From the index target date, the index gradually invests in the FTSE EMU Government Bond 0-1 Years Select Index. This index measures the performance of euro-denominated investment grade fixed-income government bonds with a maturity of less than one year.

The funds may be liquidated within three years of the target index date, subject to prior notice to the shareholders.

These are accumulating share classes, i.e. the income is reinvested.
