New on Xetra: Equity ETF from iShares with access to the 500 largest US companies using an equal-weighted approach

A new exchange-traded fund issued by iShares has been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since Thursday.

The iShares S&P 500 Equal Weight UCITS ETF invests directly in the 500 largest US companies by market capitalisation from the most important sectors of the US economy.

Each company is equally weighted in the benchmark index at the time of the quarterly rebalancing. The equal weight approach means that smaller companies have as much influence on the ETF's performance as larger companies.

The product offering in Deutsche Börse's XTF segment currently comprises a total of 2,365 ETFs. With this selection and an average monthly trading volume of around €18 billion, Xetra is the leading trading venue for ETFs in Europe.
