New on Xetra: Active ETF from Ossiam with access to US large-cap companies based on the Barclays Shiller CAPE Ratio

A new active exchange traded-fund issued by Ossiam has been tradable on Xetra since Wednesday.

The Ossiam Shiller Barclays CAPE US Sector Screened UCITS ETF pursues an active investment strategy and invests primarily in equities of large capitalisation companies listed or traded on recognised US markets. These companies must belong to one of the ten traditional sectors such as energy, financials, industrials, consumer discretionary or utilities. Environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria are taken into account when selecting companies.

The investment strategy is based on the relative CAPE ratio and identifies the five most undervalued sectors. The sector with the lowest momentum over the last 12 months is excluded and the remaining four sectors are equally weighted.

The CAPE ratio is a cyclically-adjusted price/earnings ratio that divides the share price by the inflation-adjusted average earnings over the last ten years. This valuation ratio is used to identify undervalued companies and is extended here to equity sectors.

The sub-fund is an accumulating share class.
