New equity ETF from HSBC on Xetra: companies with focus on promoting biological diversity

A new exchange-traded fund issued by HSBC Asset Management has been tradable on Xetra and via Börse Frankfurt since Thursday.

The HSBC World ESG Biodiversity Screened Equity UCITS ETF offers investors access to a portfolio of 500 of the largest companies by market capitalisation from industrialised countries. These companies must strive to identify and reduce negative impacts on biodiversity. Different sectors are considered, such as the technology, industrial, consumer, healthcare, and financial sectors.

In addition, companies that violate the principles of the UN Global Compact or are active in the arms, coal, oil and gas and tobacco sectors are excluded.
