New Invesco ETF on Xetra: S&P 500 ESG with currency hedging
A new exchange traded fund from issuer Invesco has been tradable via Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since Thursday.
The new share class, Invesco S&P 500 ESG UCITS ETF EUR Hdg (Acc), allows investors to gain exposure to companies from the S&P 500 ESG Index and to benefit from currency hedging against the euro.
Only companies that meet certain sustainability criteria are considered in the selection process. The goal is to achieve a risk-return profile similar to that of the S&P 500, while taking into account ESG characteristics and maintaining the sector composition of the parent index. The ETF currently tracks the performance of 312 companies.
It does not include companies with significant operations in thermal coal, tobacco, or weapons, that are not in compliance with the United Nations Global Compact guidelines, or that are among the 25 per cent worst ESG-scoring companies within their industry.
