Deutsche Börse welcomes Valour as new crypto ETN issuer on Xetra

Since Thursday, the first crypto ETN of the issuer Valour Digital Securities Limited has been tradable on Xetra and via Börse Frankfurt.

With the 1Valour Bitcoin Physical Carbon Neutral, investors can invest in the performance of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin in a climate-friendly way. The carbon footprint associated with Bitcoin is neutralised through certified carbon removal and offsetting initiatives.

The crypto ETN is physically backed by Bitcoin and is centrally cleared in trading by Deutsche Börse Group's central counterparty, Eurex Clearing AG.

All crypto ETNs tradable on Xetra are physically collateralised and listed on the Regulated Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. In addition, all crypto ETNs on Xetra are centrally cleared by Eurex Clearing AG as Deutsche Börse Group's central counterparty (CCP). Through central clearing, institutional investors in particular benefit from significantly reduced risks in the settlement of transactions.

The product offering in Deutsche Börse's ETF & ETP segment currently comprises a total of 2,046 ETFs, 186 ETCs and 247 ETNs. With this selection and an average monthly trading volume of around €19 billion, Xetra is the leading trading venue for ETFs and ETPs in Europe.
