Ingo Speich was appointed Head of the Sustainability and Corporate Governance department at Deka Investment in April 2019. He is responsible for all sustainability services for our asset management products, including engagement, AGM voting, implementation of sustainability in portfolio
management as well as cooperation with various research providers and sustainability initiatives.


Prior to joining Deka, Ingo was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Union Investment from 2004, most recently as Head of the ESG Capital Markets & Stewardship team. After an apprenticeship at Dresdner Bank, Ingo studied business administration at the University of Trier and Boston University, graduating with a Master degree. Ingo is a CFA Charterholder and completed the Executive MBA Program at the European Business School Oestrich-Winkel and Durham University.


Ingo is a member of the Advisory Board "Sustainable Finance" of the Federal Government and of the "Corporate Governance Commission" of the DVFA. He is also a member of ESMA’s Consultative Working Group on Financial Intermediaries, of the BVI's "Corporate Governance Working Group" and the Schmalenbach-Gesellschaft's "Corporate Governance Reporting" Working Group. He lectures at the EBS Business School/Finance Academy on the subject of "Sustainable Investments" and is an active participant in several networks to develop and strengthen corporate governance in companies.
