T7 Infrastructure: Tech refresh of the Cash Market Data Access Layer Switches (A-Side) in the Equinix FR2 Co-Location facility
009/2024 T7 Infrastructure: Tech refresh of the Cash Market Data Access Layer Switches (A-Side) in the Equinix FR2 Co-Location facility Xetra Circular 009/24
1. Introduction
As part of its ongoing infrastructure refresh, Deutsche Börse will replace the Cash Market Data Access Layer Switches (A-Side) in the Equinix FR2 co-location (Colo 2.0) facility affecting all 10 Gbit/s connections. The replacement of the switches will be transparent to participants and is planned to be carried out on 20 April 2024. The dissemination of production and simulation market data via the EOBI, EMDI and MDI interfaces on the A-Side will continue as usual following the tech refresh.
To ensure a smooth transition to the new switches and reduce the amount of impact on participants to an absolute minimum, the names of the switches (RFRA3511 and RFRA3512) and the current assignment of the ports to participant installations will remain unchanged.
2. Action required
No compulsory action from participants is required.
Deutsche Börse will however provide a support window on Saturday 20 April 2024 between 14:00 and 16:00 CEST. During this time, Deutsche Börse recommends that participants verify their connectivity to the new switches (e.g.) by measuring light levels, confirming the receipt of technical heartbeats from the T7 production environment or the receipt of market data from the T7 simulation environment.
In the event of any unforeseen issues, participants will be able to contact their Technical Key Account Manager via their VIP number or cts@deutsche-boerse.com during the support window.
