Release date: 17 Jan 2024

Cash Market Readiness Newsflash | MiFID II/MiFIR: Short Code and Algo ID Upload GUI – Decommissioning of former upload functionality Cash Market Readiness Newsflash

Dear Xetra and Börse Frankfurt Participants,

We would like to draw your attention to the upcoming decommissioning of the current upload functionality for Short Codes and Algo IDs in the Member Section on 31 January 2024, end of business.

As announced with Xetra Circular 038/23, an enhancement of the Graphical User Interface (GUI) in the Member Section upload functionality for Short Codes and Algo IDs was introduced to replace the current frontend. The new GUI utilizes the Common Upload Engine (CUE) pre-validation tool, providing Trading Participants with a standardized and comprehensive data validation process and streamlined feedback.

The new GUI has been available in simulation since 20 November 2023 and in the production environment since 4 December 2023.

As stated before, parallel operation of the current and the new upload functionality is in place until 31 January 2024. The current upload functionality will be decommissioned on 31 January 2024, end of business. Before the decommissioning on 31 January 2024, Trading Participants must ensure that the upload processes are migrated to the new GUI for which the following technical prerequisites must be met:

  1.  CUE user setup in the Member Section of Deutsche Börse Group
  2.  Active Member Section user account with granted upload permissions for:
  • GUI – Upload Short Code ID and/or
  • GUI – Upload Algo ID

In case Trading Participants already set up a CUE user, there is no need for action. Please find more information in the "User guide - GUI Short Code ID and Algo ID upload" and “CUE validation and file specification Short Code ID and Algo ID” documentation, which can be found on the Xetra website www.xetra.com under the following path:

Newsroom > Current regulatory topics > MiFID II and MiFIR > Reference data reporting

or contact your Key Account Manager (KAM) or Technical Key Account Manager (TKAM).

To ensure a smooth transition, Deutsche Börse encourages all Trading Participants to familiarize themselves with the new GUI and the updated procedures and to migrate the upload processes to the new GUI before the current upload functionality decommissioning on 31 January 2024. Your cooperation in adopting this enhanced upload functionality is appreciated.

If you have any further questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact your Technical Key Account Manager or send an e-mail to client.services@deutsche-boerse.com.

Kind regards,
Your Client Services Team
