New bond ETF from SPDR on Xetra: access to global markets for fixed-income corporate and government bonds with currency hedging

A new exchange-traded fund issued by State Street Global Advisors has been tradable on Xetra and via Börse Frankfurt since Tuesday.

The SPDR Bloomberg Global Aggregate Bond EUR Hdg UCITS ETF gives investors access to global markets for fixed-income debt instruments in various currencies across all residual maturities. The benchmark index is primarily composed of 55 per cent government bonds, 18 per cent corporate bonds and 12 per cent mortgage-backed debt. The main issuers by weight are based in the USA, Japan, China, France, Germany, the UK and Canada. 

This is a currency hedged share class, i.e. the impact of exchange rate fluctuations against the euro is minimised.
